Women's rights

Overlooked, Unpaid and Undervalued.

Women’s work is often overlooked, unpaid and undervalued. Across the world, women and girls work in unsafe conditions, doing precarious jobs and are also at the risk of violence.

Despite significant gains, however, patriarchy, religious and other fundamentals, sexism, unequal   power relations, negative norms and traditional beliefs, all continue to foster inequality and vulnerability and to undermine the realization of women’s rights.  We must challenge the social and cultural norms that lead to women’s vulnerability.

Our objective is to advance girl’s and women’s realization of social economic justice in Uganda. We support and nurture growth of women solidarity movements and networks to build young feminist leaders, and to protect and promote safety of girls and women in public and private spaces.
