16 Days of Activism—Katakwi women March for a fairer world.
In commemoration of the 16 days of Activism, the women of Katakwi District in Nothern Uganda joined in the Walk for Survival campaign for a fairer world.
Women and some men from different sub-counties in the district came together in a March to end gender-based violence in public and private spaces, child sex and marriages, for a greener world, against tree cutting and tax related injustices.
Women from all walks of life were mobilized and organized to participate in this noble walk to ending Violence against women and girls in public and private spaces. They reached out to the market where injustices such as the unfair tax system has keep majority of women in business struggling to thrive and sustain their businesses.
