Land and Climate Change

LIVES AND LIVELIHOODS

The loss of rights to natural resources creates misery that is being compounded by Climate Change. This has especially affected women who form the bulk of the population employed in agriculture in Uganda.

Climate change has led to increasing migrations and growing conflicts as pastoral communities for instance trespass from one place to another in search of pasture.

AAIU aims to enhance livelihoods and the resilience of people living in extreme poverty to climate change. We support small holder farmers especially women, other members of communities and their organizations, to adopt scalable solutions to address the negative effects of climate change.
