For the online nominations, a link was shared on all social media platforms like Facebook, X (Formally Twitter), linkedin among others, on the other hand, the physical nominations (offline option) nomination forms distributed through grassroots organisations like Local Sustainable Communities, RDP Uganda , MIRAC Uganda to mention but a few to the various regions across the country.

Background

Since its inception in the early 2000s, the award has evolved into an annual event that not only acknowledges outstanding public servants but also serves as a platform for raising awareness about the importance of integrity in governance. The underlying philosophy is that by recognizing and rewarding exemplary behavior, the initiative inspires others to follow suit, thereby cultivating a culture of honesty and ethical conduct across all levels of public service. The National Citizen Integrity Award also emphasizes the significance of collaboration among various stakeholders, including civil society organizations, government entities, and the general public. This cooperative effort is essential in creating an environment where integrity is valued and corruption is actively challenged.
