PRRPs

AAIU clusters in Katakwi, Kumi and Kapchorwa districts jointly organized two-day regional participatory reviews and reflections in Soroti district on 19th and 20thNovember 2020.

These meetings purposed to review the plans and budgets for the organization and cluster level to in turn, setting direction and tempo for AAIU through the remainder years of the implementation of its 5th strategy paper.

This meeting brought together Small holder farmers, Activista groups, women's forum, citizen journalists, Community monitors, partners, and Local Government representatives across the three Districts, providing the attendees an opportunity to critically reflect on AAIU programming, what has been done Vis a vis what is pending in the region.

During the meeting, key emerging issues from the presentations rotated around COVID-19 programming, the shrinking civic space, rough political terrain and how these affect AAIU programming.

Under the women’s access to social justice, participants raised the need to integrate the Gender Action Learning Systems model, while the Community resilience to Climate change program focused on interventions around clean energy as part of the climate resilience sustainable agriculture model, citing the urgent need to support young people with entrepreneurship skills for income.
